Peep This!
If you've seen a naked woman on the streets of NY, chances are you've encountered the street art of Celso. As one of the founding members of the Endless Love Crew (ELC), Celso has been active both on and off of the street for years. Whether it's curating Post No Bills at a Queens construction site, participating in a four artist show at Factory Fresh, or on his blog, Celso is constantly finding ways to titilate the masses (sorry, I just like the use of titilate in a sentance on that last link).
Next Saturday, September 12 marks the opening of Celso's latest curatorial effort, PEEP-O-RAMA, at the a AK-57 Gallery (830 12th Avenue, between 57th & 58th streets in Manhattan). This group show will feature the work of Brent Birnbaum, Celso, Jillian Corbett, Ian Farrell, Ryan Frank, Suzanne Goldenberg, LA2, Jose Landoni, Pamela Lawton, Danny Licul, Linda Lee Nicholas, Dean Radinovsky, Maggie Simonelli, Miryana Todorova, James A. Willis, and special guests. Doors are open from noon-4PM with a reception from 6PM-10PM.
